Nov 1, 1955 - Carroll Daily Times - Final rites were held at the Huffman Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon for Mrs. Oliver T. Moates, 71, who died of a stroke at her home, 1127 North Clark Street, Friday morning. The Rev. Walter S. Schiel, minister of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated. Mrs. Romayne E. Huffman sang "A Perfect Day," accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth K. Holley, pianist, who played a prelude and postlude. Burial was in the Carroll Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank W. Seyller, Albert C. Wegner, G. Edwin Robb, Edgar S. Bradley, J.C. Schwarzenbach and Fred Harrison Jr.

Members of the immediate family from out of town at the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Moates son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moates, and son, Robert, North St. Paul, Minn., and son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson, and family of Linn Grove, Iowa.

Besides her husband, son and daughter named, Mrs. Moates leaves another daughter, Mrs. Thomas Richardson of Chicago.
