HOLD LAST RITES HERE FOR CHARLES CAVANAUGH MON.
Funeral services were held here at 9 a.m. Monday from the Annunciation Church for Charles "Pat" Cavanaugh, who died at his home at 5;30 p.m. Friday. He had been in poor health for two years. The Rev. Robert E. Daughtery officiated. Pallbearers were Lee Miller, Raymond Betts, Dick Scherbring, William Lynn, Bill Duncan and Don Jensen. Internment was in the Coon Rapids Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Cavanaugh, a World War I Veteran, was a painter. He was born in Hamilton County September 1, 1887 and had lived in the Coon Rapids community 66 years. The son of Michael Cavanaugh and Elizabeth Williams, Charles never married. His parents and nine brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Survivors include two sisters, mrs. Alice Eggleston of Tama and Miss Agnes Cavanaugh of Chicago, ILL; also one brother, John of Coon Rapids.
