Mrs. Caroline Albers passed away at the home in Templeton Friday morning after being in poor health for several years. Her husband preceded her in death almost a year having died in August of 1915. The funeral was held at Templeton Monday and was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Urbany, Mr. and Mrs. John Roth, Mrs. Joe Laughlin and Mrs. Herman Stevens. Mrs. Caroline Albers

Mrs. Caroline Albers, whose death was briefly mentioned in last week's Times, died at her home in Templeton, Friday, June 30, from cancer, with which she had long been a sufferer. Three years ago she underwent an operation at St. Joseph's hospital, Omaha, for her trouble and again in April of this year submitted to an operation in Mercy hospital in Des Moines. Three weeks before her death she took suddenly much worse, suffering with convulsions and hemorrhages of the brain.

Mrs. Albers, whose maiden name was Caroline Schwaller, was born at Guttenberg, Iowa, May 26, 1864, and married December 4, 1884, to John Albers, at Templeton, Iowa. Her husband died in August of 1915. For almost forty years Mrs. Albers had been a resident of Carroll county. She was a member of the Roman Catholic church and enjoyed her church and her friends.

She is survived by seven children, Henry V. Albers, of Chicago; John B., of Arcadia; Mayme, Mrs. M. Doran, Coon Rapids; Sister M. Anaclete, Sauk City, Wisconsin; Sister M. Jeanette, Racine, Wisconsin, Antoinette and William. All the children were present at the funeral which was held from the Sacred Heart church at Templeton, Monday, July 3, Rev. Erdman officiating.

The following out of town relatives and friends were also present at the funeral: Mrs. Anna Albers, of Guttenberg, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Schwaller, of Roselle; Mr. and Mrs. S. Urbany and daughter, of Carroll; Mr. and Mrs. John Roth, of Carroll; Mrs. Henry Stevens and daughter, of Carroll; Mrs. Joe Laughlin, of Carroll; Mrs. Joe Chapman, of Mt. Carmel; Mrs. Catherine Doran, Mrs. Pat Doran, Mrs. John Miller, Mrs. Sam Allender and Miss Kit Doran, of Coon Rapids.
