Leo Rosonke, 37, Found Dead in Barn Tuesday

Leo Rosonke, 37-year-old farmer, was found dead at 8 p. m. Tuesday in the barn at his home on the Carroll and Sac county line one mile east and one-half mile south of Highway 71. Dr. C. C. Sullivan, county coroner, said there would be no inquest.

The body is resting at the Sharp funeral home here until the time of the rites, which are to be at 9:30 Friday morning at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church. The Rev. Father Peter M. Sturm will offer the requiem mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jacob Schumacher, Will Pudenz, Norbert Pudenz, William Vonnahme, Leo Pudenz and Albert Hann.

TO PRAY ROSARY

The rosary, led by the Rev. Father Sturm, will be prayed by the Holy Name Society of the Mt. Carmel church in a group at the funeral home at 9 o'clock Thursday evening.

Mr. Rosonke was born Sept. 2 4 , 1906, at St . Cecelia, Iowa. Later, he moved with his parents to New Hampton, Iowa. In November, 1931, he came to Carroll county and was employed at several locations in Sac and Carroll counties. He had lived at his present home since the spring of 1937.

Feb. 21, 1933, he was married to Miss Mary Reiling at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church, with the late Rev. Father S. Roth officiating.

Surviving with his wife are five children: Paul, Dolores, Virgil, Rozita and Leon; his father, Anton Rosonke, sr., New Hampton; three brothers, Ben, Frank and Anton, jr., all of New Hampton; and three sisters, Mrs. Will Swicerath (Rose), North Washington, Ia.; Mrs. Emma Elgroth, Sauk Center, Minn., and Sister Mary Agnesine, Mount St. Francis convent, Middletown, ILL.

His mother died in 1920.

Mr. Rosonke was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church and the Holy Name society of the parish.
