MRS. EMMA REiLING

Mrs. Emma Reiling. 81, of Auburn, died Tuesday evening at the Manning General Hospital at Manning.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church in Auburn with Msgr. Leo Lenz officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rosaries are scheduled at 3 p.m. by St. Mary's Altar Society, 7 p.m. by the parish and at 8:15 p.m. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Surviving are three sons: Albert, Auburn; Harold, Corning, and Ralph, Rembrandt; three daughters: Mrs. Francis (Ethel) Morrow. Mondamin; Mrs. Richard (Mickey) Dixon, Orlando, Fla.; and Lucille McKiernan, Cedar Rapids; 39 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Reiling was born Mar. 10,1898 at Mount Carmel. a daughter of Henry and Mary Hammers Reiff. She spent her early life in the Mt. Carmel area. On Jan. 20, 1920. she was married to Wendlin J. Reiling at the Mt. Carmel Church. After farming near Mt. Carmel, they moved to a farm near Auburn. They retired in 1965 and moved into Auburn. Her husband died in November, 1969. In 1973 she entered the Twilight Acres nursing home at Wall Lake. For the past year she had been a resident of the Manning Plaza. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and of the Altar society.
