MRS. CLARA SCHELLE

BREDA — Mrs. Clara Schelle, 88, of Breda died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Twilight Acres Nursing Home in Wall Lake, where she had resided since the fall of 1968. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.Thursday at St. Bernard's Church here by the Rev. Dennis Sefcik. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Sharp Funeral Home of Breda, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Christian Mothers Sodality will recite the rosary at 3 p.m., and there will be a parish scriptural prayer service at 8 p.m., followed by a rosary at 8:45, all on Wednesday.

Mrs. Schelle was born Feb. 8, 1887, at Breda and as a young child moved to the Mt. Carmel vicinity with her parents, Frank Albert and Mary Teresa Wernimont Reiling. Her marriage to Joseph Schelle took place Jan. 31, 1920, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, with the Rev. John Bauemler officiating. They lived on a farm 21/2 miles west of Breda until retiring and moving into Breda in 1956. Mr. Schelle died in April, 1968.

Mrs. Schelle is survived by a son, Greg, of Breda; a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Teresa) Brincks of Carroll; five grandchildren; a brother, Ted Reiling of Carroll; and two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Underberg of Springville, N.Y., and Mrs. Mary Rosonke of Carroll.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were three children, Marie, Victor and Rita; two grandchildren, Harvey and Arleen Brincks; six brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Schelle was a member of St. Bernard's Church, the Christian Mothers Sodality and the American Legion Auxiliary, all at Breda.
