EMMETSBURG -

Gertrude Gehllng, 67, Emmetsburg. died Sunday, Nov. 18. 1990, at the home of her son on a farm near here.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gehling will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990. at Assumption Catholic Church in Emmetsburg with the Rev. LeRoy Suentjens officiating.

Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Emmetsburg.

A vigil will be held at 7 tonight at Martin Funeral Home in Emmetsburg.

Mrs. Gehling was born July 4, 1923, at Templeton. She and Erwln H. Gehling were married April 14, 1947, in Carroll.

The couple moved to a Coon Rapids farm, where they lived for six years. They then moved to rural Gilmore City for 11 years before residing in the Emmetsburg area in 1964. She moved to town in December 1986.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Stangl, of Emmetsburg; two sons, Dennis Gehling of Emmetsburg and Delbert Gehling of Sioux City; three brothers, Englebert Brandt of Manilla, Joseph Brandt of Manning and Kris Brandt of Aspinwall; three sisters, Sophia Esser of Woodbine, Catherine Bissen of Earlng and Rosie Brandt of Manning; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Gehling was preceded in death by her husband in 1981.
