The sad news was received here Monday of the death of Jacob Vandervelden at Pine Bluffs, Ark., Monday morning after a short illness with indigestion. He had been in Arkansas about two months and was preparing to return home to spend the winter here when he was taken sick. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery at Pine Bluff. Deceased was born in Horn, Holland, in 1832 and reached the age of 70 years. In 1880 he moved to Breda where he resided until about two months ago when he left for Arkansas.
