Henry Steinkamp died last Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock of a complication of diseases, aged sixty years. The funeral was held Tuesday morning and the remains interred in the Catholic cemetery at this place. Deceased was born in Westphalia, Germany, in 1841. In 1867 he immigrated to this country and located in New Vienna, Ia., where he secured employment in the woolen mills at that place. Two years later he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Prier. Four children blessed their happy union, but the mother died Sept. 26, 1887. He moved to Carroll county in the early seventies and settled on a farm, three miles west of Arcadia, where he resided for some five years and then purchased a farm of his own in Sac county, northwest of town. He resided there until March, 1900, when he purchased a house in town and settled here to enjoy the rest of his days in ease and comfort.
