Funeral Services of Fred Bannister

Funeral services for Fred Bannister of Minneapolis were conducted in this city Friday morning, February 3, by Rev. Arthur M. Eastman, at 10:30 o'clock. Mr. Bannister died in Minneapolis, Minn., January 28, 1928. Interment was made in the Carroll cemetery.

Born in England October 6, 1853, Mr. Bannister was brought to America on the Mayflower by his parents, when one year old. They came to Carroll county, where he lived until ten years ago when he moved to Minneapolis, where he has since resided. He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Duffy of Carroll, Ia., May 19, 1880. There were six children and of these one died in infancy. The surviving children are Frank Bannister of Cottonwood, S. D.; Mrs. Alice Barnes and Mrs. Lulu Schroeder of Minneapolis; John Bannister of Milford, Neb., and Mrs. Bernice Halloway of Los Angeles, Calif. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and three sisters. Mrs. Bannister died 27 years ago.
