Mr. John Kernan, one of the oldest settlers of Arcadia township, died at his home Sunday morning of pneumonia, after a brief illness of six days. Mr. Kernan was 72 years of age and came to Arcadia township 14 years ago. He leaves an aged wife and six children to mourn his loss. He was buried in the Catholic cemetery in Arcadia Tuesday. Mr. Kernan was a man well liked by all his neighbors and numerous friends. Mrs. Kernan and the youngest son John will remove from their farm to Arcadia, a preparation that had been made by Mr. Kernan only a short time ago.
