Clem Bruning died Thursday evening, December 19th, at his home southwest of town of influenza, followed by pneumonia.

Deceased was a son of Herman Bruning of this place, and was born April 5, 1894, on a farm near Breda. On November 27, 1917, he was united in marriage to Catherine Wempe, who preceded him in death on December 17th.

He leaves to mourn his death his father, Herman Bruning, one brother, Herman, with the A. E. F., and six sisters, Mrs. Pete Reiselman, of Boyd county, Nebraska; Mrs. Joe Prenger, of Butte, Nebraska; Bernadine, now Mrs. John Skalia, of near Carroll; Mary, now Mrs. D. A. Klein, of Naples, Nebraska; Katie, now Mrs. Nick Goetzinger, of Roselle, and Laura, at home.

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Saturday morning at 9:30 and interment made in the Catholic cemetery here.
