Julius Henry Nobiling was born January 3, 1839, in Germany. He came to America in 1867 and settled at Aurora, Ill. He was married to Miss Albertine Diernfeldt in 1871. In 1875 he moved to Arcadia where they settled on a farm north of town. In 1910 Mr. Nobiling and wife and son, Herman, moved to Arcadia, where he made his home. They celebrated their golden wedding five years ago. He was preceded in death by one child. Surviving him are his wife and six children: Minnie Lohaeffer, Arcadia; William Nobiling, Arcadia; Hulda Abel, Wall Lake; Amanda Bahr, Arcadia; Theresa Pfannkuch, of near Wall Lake, and Herman, at home; also 23 grand-children and 2 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the home and at the Lutheran church Sunday afternoon. Rev. T. A. Tews officiated. Burial was made in the West Side cemetery.
