Pius Haufle, a long-time resident of the Arcadia community, died at his home in that city Monday, March 31, after a lingering illness of about two months. Mr. Haufle was a native of Baden, Germany, and was 63 years of age at the time of his death. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the church in Arcadia, Rev. Ruemmele officiating at solemn requiem mass, and interment was in St. John's cemetery.

Mrs. Haufle passed away a number of years ago, since which time he made his home with his son, William. Other surviving children are Peter Haufle and Mrs. Joseph Schrad. Mr Haufle was a man known for his cheerful and kindly nature, and a life-long adherent of the Catholic faith. The sympathy of the community goes out to the sorrowing relatives.
