Mrs. Theresa Kuechler Haufle was born in Ehingan, Baden, Germany, September 10th, 1854 and died January 21, 1911, aged 56 years, 4 months and 11 days.

She was married to Peter Haufle in 1879 and to this union were born six children, three of which are deceased, the living being Peter, William and Mrs. Joe Schradt. In 1884 they came to America settling in the township of Wheatland but later moving to this city. Mrs. Haufle was a devoted mother and her children fairly worshipped her. She was a very devout member of the Catholic church and attended Mass as often as possible. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and lived a clean Holy life and she received the Holy Sacraments before her death. The funeral was held Tuesday forenoon from St. John's Church and interment made in the Catholic cemetery. May her soul rest in peace.
