Dennis Fee was buried here last Saturday at the Catholic cemetery, services were held at the Catholic church at Breda. Mr. Fee was 96 years old and was one of the oldest settlers in these parts and a man who in his days was very active in the affairs of this county.

Grandpa Fee passed away at the home of his son, Philip, here at 10 p.m. last Tuesday, the cause of his death being due to old age. Deceased had been ill the past four months and it was well known to all that his end was not far off. Dennis Fee was born at Setram (sic) county, Ireland in 1917 and was about 96 years of age at the time of his death. In 1851 he was married at Freeport, Illinois, to Miss Margaret Kramer, to this union were born five children, three having preceded their father in death. The surviving children are two sons, Frank Fee, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Philip, of this place. His wife died November 22, 1880. His occupation during his life time was farming. He lived five years in Ohio and from there he moved to Clinton county where they resided 20 years. In 1872 he moved to Carroll county where he resided until three years ago when he moved to Breda and has made his home with his son, Philip, until his death. He was a resident of this county for 41 years. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Breda Saturday morning at 8:30, the remains were then taken to Arcadia where they were laid to rest beside those of his wife. A number from here accompanied the remains to Arcadia.
