Arcadia Woman, Resident for 60 Years, Dies Today

Passing of Mrs. Christine Enenbach Unexpected -- Rites Friday

Arcadia (Special) -- Mrs. Christine Enenbach, 82, a resident of Carroll county for more than sixty years, passed away at her home in Arcadia some time during Monday night or Tuesday morning. She was found dead in bed Tuesday morning by her granddaughter, 12-year-old Celine Terlisner, of Carroll, who had been visiting her for a few days.

Mrs. Enenbach was seemingly in her usual good health Monday and her death was entirely unexpected. She had been in the habit of going out into the yard after rising in the morning. Tuesday morning, however, when it became late and Mrs. Enenbach had not appeared, Celine Terlisner went to her room to call her about 9 o'clock and found she had passed away. Celine summoned the neighbors, who came to the home at once. Mrs. Enenbach had apparently died in her sleep.

The body will be taken Wednesday from the Gregory Funeral Home to the family residence in Arcadia, where it will rest until the time of the funeral services.

Rites will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning at St. John's Church in Arcadia, of which Mrs. Enenbach was a member. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Enenbach, a native of Germany, was eighty-two years old on July 3. She had lived on a farm in the Arcadia community for a long time before residing in town. Her husband, Henry Enenbach, died about twenty-nine years ago.

Mrs. Enenbach maintained her own home in Arcadia, but during the winter she usually visited her daughters, spending a large portion of the time with her daughter, Mrs. Henry Terlisner, and family, at Carroll.

Surviving Mrs. Enenbach are three daughters and one son: Mrs. Mary Heiman, Buffalo Center; Frank Enenbach, Arcadia; Mrs. Henry Terlisner (Lizzie), Carroll, and Mrs. George Thieman (Thresia), Huron, S. D. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary Hausman, who lives with her son, the Rev. Father John Hausman, at Churdan.

Mrs. Enenbach was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Sister M. Celine, who died at Dubuque in 1918.
