John Beyer Died En Route To Hospital

Exposed to the Cold Saturday After Having Gone to Garage, and it Proved Fatal.

John Beyer, a resident of the First ward, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, while being taken to the hospital. He had gone out to the garage during the forenoon, and the family thought he had gone up-town until they found him suffering with the intense cold. The attending physician asked that he be hurried to the St. Anthony hospital, but he died en route.

Mr. Beyer was born at Lyons, Ia., February 28, 1881, and later moved to this county with his parents. He was united in marriage to Miss Teresa Steininger at Carroll in 1903. To this union was born 10 children, all of whom survive. Mrs. Beyer passed away during the year of 1924.

In 1925 Mr. Beyer was again married, to Mrs. Irene Elledge of Garben, Ia. To this union was born one son, Gilbert. Following are the children who with the widow survive: Mrs. Theresa McKeegan and Louise of Omaha, John, Arthur, Elmer, Bennie, Leona, Margaret, Florence, Ethel and Gilbert, at home. He is also survived by his aged father, Mike Beyer; five sisters, three brothers and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from the S. S. Peter and Paul church and interment made in the Catholic cemetery.

Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mrs. John Neisel and Mrs. Mary Weiz of Chicago; Sarah Beyer of Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. Will Steininger and family of Halbur.
