Templeton -- Anton Klocke, 89, a resident of this community for about 85 years, died at 5:15 p.m. (C.S.T.) Monday, May 11 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Klocke. He had been ill for a week.

Requiem mass will be read at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Church, Templeton, with burial in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Court Sacred Heart No. 454, Catholic Daughters of America, will recite the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rosaries are also scheduled for 8 and 8:45 pm. Tuesday. On Wednesday, an 8 p.m. rosary led by the Rev. Leo C. Harpenau will be followed by another at 8:30.

Mr. Klocke was born March 10, 1875, in Germany. In 1879 he came to the United States with his parents, Joseph and Sophia Klocke, and they settled in the Templeton community. His marriage to Lena Sporrer took place at Sacred Heart Church here on June 16, 1908. He was a member of the church and the Holy Name Society of the parish. A retired farmer, he had lived with the Herbert Klocke's for the past ten years.

Surviving are four children, Raymond and Herbert, Templeton; Albert, Manning; and Mrs. Herbert (Marie) Eich, Mason City; 22-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Forbes, Eagle Grove; Agatha Klocke, Webster City; and Mrs. Bernadine Behrens, Carroll.

Mr. Klocke was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 9, 1953; three brothers, Joseph, John and Henry Klocke; and three sisters, Mrs. Theresa Korwes, Mrs. Sophia Espenhover and Mary Klocke.
