DEATH OF JACOB PALZER

Jacob Palzer, one of the old settlers of Arcadia, died Friday night at 11:30 of pneumonia, aged 62 years. Outside of being troubled with asthma Mr. Palzer had always been a healthy man and it was quite a sad surprise to most people as he had been around town Monday.

Besides a few children who died while quite young of diphtheria, a daughter, Anna, sixteen years old preceded him to the grave five years ago. Mr. Palzer leaves his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Jim Fritz of Carroll, Mrs. Jos. Schroer Jr. of this place and the Misses Regina and Mary to mourn his loss. The funeral was held Monday from the Catholic church and despite the inclemency of the weather, a large number of friends were in attendance. Peace to his ashes.
