DEATH OF MRS. FRED SPIEKER

Expires Suddenly at Her Home Wednesday Morning.
—Was Not Though Seriously Ill.

Mrs. Fred Spieker living southeast of this city died suddenly Wednesday morning at her home, aged 54 years. While Mrs. Spieker had been suffering from a bad cold, she was not supposed to be dangerously ill and on the morning of her death was feeling fully as well as she had for some time. She asked her husband for a drink of water, which was given her, and a few minutes later she died, the time being 6:45. The deceased was born in Germany, her maiden name being Tresa Dubbert. She came to this country when twenty-three years of age and was married in September, 1882, to Fred Spieker who survives her. Eight children have been born to them of whom seven are living. The names of the children are Joseph, Anton, Fred, Alice, Leo, Mary and Johanna. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o’clock at SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic church of which the deceased was a member. The death of this excellent woman is a sad bereavement to her large family and a loss to her circle of friends.
