Obituaries

Darlene F. Klocke --- Hayfield

HAYFIELD --- The funeral Mass for Darlene F. Klocke will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hayfield, with the Rev. Richard Dernek officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Hayfield.

Mrs. Klocke, 81, of Hayfield, died Monday (March 3, 2008) in Sauk Centre, Minn.

Darlene Francis Loew was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Iowa and married Paul Henry Klocke on Feb. 26, 1946, in Breda, Iowa. The couple moved to Hayfield in 1948 and lived there until 1956, at which time they moved to Willow River in northern Minnesota.

In 1963 they moved to Alaska, then retired to Hayfieldin 1975. Mrs. Klocke enjoyed her family, playing cards, gardening, and feeding the birds.

Survivors ibnclude three daughters, Peggy (Phil) Haasl of Anchorage, Alaska, Sharon (Ron) Laramie of Tacoma, Wash., and Carol (Tom) Miller of West Union, Minn.; a son, David (Cheryl) of Kasson; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Kathy) Loew; and three sisters, Louanna (Alvin) Klocke, Shirley Van Pelt and Patti Hesch, all of Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield.
