Patricia K. Hancock - age 87, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Home in Manson, Iowa. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Patricia Katherine Ward was born September 16, 1929, in Driggs, Idaho. She was the daughter of Charles and Nancy (Decker) Ward. Patricia graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1948. On January 6, 1950, she married Jeff Hancock in Lander, WY. The couple settled on a ranch near Lander, WY. Patricia worked as a clerk for J.C. Penney’s for several years. She spent most of her time raising their family and helping with all aspects of their ranch, which she truly enjoyed. Patricia and Jeff enjoyed 52 years of marriage, until his death in December of 2002. Patricia was a member of the Historical Society Board in Hudson, WY and was Past President of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Lander, WY. She enjoyed beadwork, canning, reading and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In April of 2015, Patricia entered the Good Samaritan Home in Manson, Iowa. Survivors include her children, Nancy (Norman) Beuchle of Rolfe, Russell (Natalie) Hancock of Riverton, WY and Albert (Teresa) Hancock of Denver, CO; ten grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Ada Hancock of Riverton, WY and several nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jeff; brothers, Ivan Ward, Clyde Ward, Leo Ward and Max Ward and sisters, Monna Lozier, Louise Ward and Priscilla Hobbs.
