(December 9, 1927 - March 28, 2018)

Milton E. Heins - age 90, of Pomeroy, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Center in Manson, Iowa. Milton Ernest Heins was born on December 9, 1927, near Webster City, Iowa. He was the son of Ernest and Regina (Mueller) Heins. He attended school in Webster City and graduated from Pomeroy High School. In the late 1940’s Milton married Arlene Bohn in Pomeroy. The couple settled near Pomeroy on the Heins home place. In addition to farming, Milton operated a corn shelling business with his father-in-law, Ben Bohn for many years. He also worked as a truck driver. Over the years he drove truck for many different individuals and companies. Milton never completely retired from farming, in recent years he remained active on the farm as he was able. Milton was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He loved riding his motorcycles and going on motorcycle trips. He also enjoyed going on tractor rides all over the state of Iowa.
Survivors include his daughter, Lori (Bill) Degelau of Fort Dodge; granddaughters, Holly (Joe) Caquelin of Sun Prairie, WI and Katie Degelau of Fort Dodge. Brothers, Harold (Lillian) Heins of Rupert, ID and Warren (Vicki) Heins of Buhl, ID and many nieces & nephews. Milton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene and a sister, Ruth Heins.
