Obituary – Mrs. John Davis
Ella Hall Davis was born May 5, 1867 in Fayette County, Ill., and passed away at her home in Rockwell City May 31, 1934, at the age of 67 years, 25 days. She has been an invalid for almost six years following a paralytic stroke. She was united in marriage to William M. Davis Aug. 21, 1886. To this union four children were born, the husband and one daughter preceding her in death. The surviving children are Mrs. Effie Reffert and Mrs. Sam Boaz of near Lanesboro; Fred Davis of near Jolley, six grandchildren and a host of distant relatives. On Nov 5, 1924 she was unite din marriage to John S. Davis, who is left to mourn her loss. Mrs. Davis united with the church at the age of 18 years and remained steadfast in the service of her Master until the end. Darling mother your task is ended and our loss we deeply feel; but t’was God that has bereft us; He can all our sorrows heal.
