Obituary – Mrs. Hans Johnson
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, May 28, at 1:30 o’clock for Mrs. Hans Johnson at the home of her son, James Johnson, and burial was in Union Cemetery beside her husband, who died several years ago. Mary Buslund was born April 30, 1866 in Denmark. She came to America when a young woman. On March 21, 1891, she was married to Hans Johnson of Manson. One son, James Carl, was born to them. In 1894 the family moved on to the farm purchased by Mrs. Johnson 3 miles south of Pomeroy. Failing health made it necessary for Mrs. Johnson to enter the hospital at Cherokee where she lived about 35 years, death coming on May 25 at the age of 68 years and 25 days. She is survived by one son, James C. Johnson, and two grandchildren, Wayne and Lois Johnson. Services were in charge of the Rev. J. E. Lombard.
