Irvin "Butch" Seehusen, age 84, passed away on July 29, 2014, at his home in Pomeroy. Irvin Gerald Seehusen was born on July 30, 1929, on the farm near Pomeroy, in the house he lived in until 2001. He was the son of William and Lena (Behrends) Seehusen. Butch was Baptized on August 25, 1929 and Confirmed on April 18, 1943. He was educated at Lutheran Parochial School thru the eight grade and graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1947. Butch served in the US Army from May of 1951 to July of 1953, after his discharge, he returned to farm at Pomeroy. On August 10, 1958, Butch married Patricia Consier at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. The couple made their home on the farm until 2001, when they moved. Butch retired a few years after they moved. Butch was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, having served in many capacities within the church. He had been a Butler Township Trustee. Butch loved farming and feeding cattle. Survivors include his wife: Pat; daughters: Sheri (Jim) Simpson of Minneapolis, MN, Karen Gore-Pandolfo (Tony) of Orlando, FL and Jill (Rick) Neese of Tampa, FL; grandchildren: Tom, Marcus, Jeff, Dan and Kirstin; sister: Joyce Eichelberger of Wilmer, MN, Norma (Roland) Pillack of Des Moines and Janet (Don) Buenting of Antioch, CA and brother Vernon "Bonnie" (Carol) Seehusen of Pomeroy.
