(September 2, 1941 - September 5, 2012)

Jerry Marsh, age 71, passed away on September 5, 2012, at his home in Pomeroy. Jerry Lee Marsh was born on September 2, 1941, at Jefferson. He was the son of Kenneth and Gertrude (Anderson) Marsh. Jerry was educated at Farlin schools. After he completed his education, Jerry served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962. After his discharge, Jerry returned to Jefferson. He married Ann Hartung at Jefferson. Jerry worked as a welder for various manufacturing companies throughout his life. On August 25, 1975, Jerry married JoAnne Teyen at Elk Point, SD. The couple made their home in Jolley before settling in Pomeroy. Jerry was a member of St. John Lutheran, the AMVETS and the Iowa Black Powder Federation. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. Survivors include his wife: JoAnne; children: Heath (Beth) Marsh of Sioux Falls, SD, Shawn (Stacy) Marsh of Palmer, Amanda Marsh of Pomeroy and Jeff (Carla) Marsh of Canyon City, CO; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Wendell (Caroline) Marsh of Columbia, MO, Duane (Elaine) Marsh of Jefferson and Steve (Kathy) Marsh of Granger.
