Marian C. Rosenboom - age 95, of Pomeroy, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Pomeroy Care Center in Pomeroy, Iowa. Marian Christine Rosenboom was born January 27, 1917, near Pomeroy, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred and Hannah (Folkerts) Rosenboom. She was educated in area country schools. Marian babysat for many families in the Pomeroy area. She worked as a cook at the Pomeroy School System for many years before retiring. Marian was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church. She was very active and devoted to her church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and antiquing. Marian was also a mother and grandmother figure to many people over the years. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, ReNay (Glen) Hanson of Pomeroy; Sue (Bill) Jesse of Waukee; Steve (Rachel) Rosenboom of Pomeroy; Sally (Jerry) Hyler of Correctionville; Pam (Tim) Alpers of Rochester, MN and Jaci (Bill) Imberger of Taos, NM and many great nieces & nephews.
