Obituary – Miss Alice Earwood
Alice Earwood was born in Gallia County, Ohio, Nov. 18, 1866, and died in the Lutheran hospital at Fort Dodge, Friday, Oct. 30, 1936, having reached the age of 69 years, 11 months, and 12 days. She was the eldest daughter of Ephraim and Sarah Earwood, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Earwood passed away when Alice was four years old and she was raised by step-mother, Mrs. Susan Earwood. The family moved to Illinois when she was 18. They came to Lohrville in 1903, where Miss Earwood continued to make her home until 10 years ago when she moved to California. She leaves to mourn her loss two brothers, Ed Earwood and Dr. E. R. Earwood, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Meyers and Mrs. Emma Hazlett. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
