Obituary
Herman Lussman was born in Germany on April 24, 1864, and died suddenly at Twin Lakes Aug. 8, 1937, at the age of 73. He came to America when a young man, settling in the eastern part of Iowa in Dubuque County. He came to Farnhamville in 1895 and established a harness shop which he continued to operate until his death. He was married Nov. 11, 1906 to Miss Ida Miller of Chicago. To this union four sons were born who, with their mother, survive; Arthur of Liderdale, Harold, Herman and Walter at home. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Darlene Lussman of Liderdale.

Bussman Had Lived at Farhamville For 42 Years; Dies During Picnic at Twin Lakes
Advocate’s county news service, Farnhamville – Herman Lussman, 73 year old veteran Farnhamville business man, died of a heart attack Sunday afternoon while enjoying a picnic with his family at Twin Lakes. Lussman has been in poor health for several years. He apparently was no worse than usual Sunday, however, and seemed to be fully enjoying the day’s outing. Mr. Lussman had been in business here for 42 years, as long as any business man now active here. He came to Farnhamville in 1895 and established a harness shop. Due to his poor health in recent months, however, the business has been taken care of by his son, Harold. He is survived by his widow and four sons, Arthur of Lidderdale and Harold, Herman and Walter at home, and one granddaughter, Darlene Lussman of Lidderdale. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church here, of which he was a member, Rev. W. E. Heddrick, pastor, was in charge. Burial was in the Farnhamville Cemetery.
