Obituary
Robert Whitted, son of Lucy and Joseph Whitted, was born in Jasper County, Ia., Jan. 6, 1857. He spent his boyhood days in Monroe, Ia. He passed away at the age of 79, after a few days’ illness with pneumonia. In 1883 he was married to Kizziah Warren. They moved to Calhoun County in 1885, where Mr. Whitted made his home until his death. To this union was born six children, one of whom died in infancy and the other five survive. The children surviving are Mrs. Florence Kittrick of Rockwell City, Mrs. Bessie Galbraith of Boone, Mrs. Edith Selsor of Donville, Ill., Mrs. Hazel Holmdahl of Fort Dodge and L. A. Whitted of Long Beach, Calif., besides one stepson, A. I. Warren of Rockwell City, 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held Aug. 25 at the Rockwell City Christian Church with Rev. Hautzenrader of Fort Dodge officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
