Obituary – Mrs. Grant Madden
Nettie Belle Trullinger was born Aug. 29, 1867 in Jackson Township, Calhoun County. She passed away at her home in Rockwell City on July 9, 1936, aged 67 years, 10 months and 10 days. She lived in this county her entire life except for nine years spent in Windom, Minn. On June 29, 1888 she was united in marriage to Grant Madden of Lake City. To this union one son, Roy Madden of Lake City, was born. For the past eight years she has been an invalid and confined to her home. A few days ago she suffered another stroke which brought her life to a speedy close. Besides her husband and son she is survived by three brothers, Dan Trullinger of Madelia, Minn., Bert Trullinger of Mankato, Minn., and Earl Trullinger of Alpha, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Pooler of Sac City, Mrs. Benjamin Binkert of Lake City, and Mrs. George Spencer of Rockwell City, and one granddaughter, Pauline Madden of Lake City. Three sisters preceded her in death, Mrs. Carrie Martin, Mrs. Dora Ripley and another who died in infancy.
