Obituary – Mrs. Patrick McGrail
Sarah Jane Williams, daughter of W. B. Williams and Eshter Williams, was born in Greenville, Ky., Sept. 9, 1856 and passed away Nov. 14, 1933 at Nora Springs at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Parr. She was 77 years, 2 months, and 5 days. She was married to Patrick McGrail in 1876. They lived at Minonk, Ill. until 1895 when they came to Calhoun County, moving onto a farm near Rockwell City. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. McGrail. On daughter died in infancy, but the other three, Charles, on the home place near Rockwell City; William, of Nowata, Okla., and Myrtle, now Mrs. A. J. Parr, are all living. Mr. McGrail died in 1896. Besides her three children she leaves to mourn one brother, Joe, of Long Beach, Cal., three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Dinsmore of Huntington Beach, Cal., Mrs. Ida Ellison of Concordia, Kan., and Mrs. Angie Fulmer of Wellington, Kan., and five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held last Thursday at the St. Thomas Catholic Church at Manson, with the Rev. A. J. Nuel officiating. Burial was made in St. Thomas Cemetery, where Mr. McGrail was buried almost 40 years ago.
