Obituary
Peter Francis Welsh was born June 19, 1871, on the home farm where he passed away April 15, 1934. Mr. Welsh was a man who never complained of ill health and it was a shock to his legion of friends when the word went out Sunday, April 15, that he had passed away. He told his wife on Sunday morning that after church he would go to see the doctor about a pain in his chest and arm, but on reaching church felt somewhat worse and decided to go then. When he arrived at the doctor’s office he felt much worse, and died suddenly from a final attack. Peter Welsh was a man whom to know was to love. He was a friend to all, as had been proved by kindly messages and help shown while his body lay in state at his old home in Greenfield Township. He was married to Miss Margaret Hastings, June 6, 1907, and to this union was born a son, Donald, who, with his mother, survive. Peter Welsh was a man who was a friend to everyone regardless of creed or circumstances, whose heart and hand were always open to all who needed him, and while the family has lost a kind husband and father, the community has lost a friend hard to replace.
