Obituary – Mrs. Hannah Yoder
Hannah A. Ristine was born Dec. 25, 1861, at Duncannon, Pa., and departed this life Nov. 7, 1934, at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 13 days. At the age of 19 years she was married to Amos Yeager at Senica, Kan. To this union were born eight sons, Amos G. of Cardin, Okla., Charles W. of Republic Kan., Fred M. of Delevan, Minn., Frank J. of Rinard, Ia., Harry W. of Jolley, Harvey E. of Sterling, Colo., and Louie C. who died at the age of two months. Mr. Yeager passed away March 11, 1891. On Aug 21, 1898 Mrs. Yeager was united in marriage to Joseph Yoder at Concordia, Kan. To this union were born two children, Benjamin H. and Mildred Goldie. Mr. Yoder passed away Sept. 10, 1911. In 1913 Mrs. Yoder and her two children came to Iowa. For many years Mrs. Yoder made a home for her unmarried children. In 1930 she and Ben, who has been her constant companion and devoted son, moved to themselves. Mrs. Yoder had been in ill health for some several years, and although discouraged at times, she was patient and carried on bravely until the end. Mrs. Yoder joined the Methodist church at the time of her second marriage and in 1924 was transferred to the Jolley church. Besides her children she leaves 31 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one step-daughter, Mrs. Ed Hurdel of Rockwell City.
