Charlotte Hjelm Dies At Age Of 80
Funeral Services for Rockwell City Woman Held Sunday; Burial in Rose Hill
Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Hjelm, 83, Rockwell City, were conducted Sunday afternoon at Skaraborg Lutheran Church, Piper, the Rev. S. F. Hammarlof officiating. Burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hjelm died Friday at the Don Reynolds home here. She had been confined to her bed since October. She was born Oct. 12, 1855, near Stockholm, Sweden. In 1879, at the age of 24, she was married to Gustav Adolp Hjelm and four years later they came to this country, making their first home at Pomeroy. They came to Rockwell City in 1899. Mrs. Hjelm is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lydia Reynolds, two sisters in Sweden, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
