Ronald Mark Buswell
1949 – 2011
Ron Buswell, the son of Donald and Betty Buswell, was born September 17, 1949 at Jefferson, Iowa and departed this life May 25, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He lived his life to the age of 61 years, 8 months and 8 days.
Ron was raised on a farm north of Jefferson and attended school at the Paton-Churdan High School. He later received his G.E.D. During high school, Ron worked with his father and brother in a spraying business and on the farm. After high school, Ron joined the United States Marine Corp and served a year in Vietnam. After the service, Ron worked for several years at AMF in Jefferson and later at the Bowie Manufacturing in Lake City. At the time of this death, Ron was working for New Coop at Rands. During his life, Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as cooking at community activities in Lohrville. He was a member of the Lohrville V.F.W. and American Legion and a former member of the Lohrville Fire Department.
Ron is survived by his mother, Betty Buswell of Jefferson, wife, Janice Hess Buswell of Glidden, brothers; Don (Kathy) Buswell of Carroll and Michael Buswell of Madrid, sisters; Linda (Larry) Booth of Bagley, Dorene (Jack) Tuhn of Jefferson, Sheri Parks of Churdan and Susan (John) Harmon of Slater, brother-in-law, Derwood Mullins of Paton, many nephews and nieces, and his many special Lohrville friends. Those who preceded him were his father and brother-in-law, Pete Parks.z
