Douglas D. Anderson
1939 – 2011

Doug Anderson, the son of Wilferd and Velma (DeSart) Anderson, was born December 27, 1939 at Lohrville, Iowa and departed this life June 21, 2011 at the Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City, Iowa. He lived his life to the age of 71 years, 5 months and 24 days.

Doug was raised in Lohrville and attended and graduated from the Lohrville High School. He was married in Iowa and later moved to Oregon where he worked as a steel fabricator, tile layer and general handyman for several years and also worked at a local Eagle’s Lodge. He and his wife, Lynn, were later divorced. He moved back to Lohrville in the late 1980s and ran a grocery store for a short time. His health started failing and for the past three years he has a resident of the Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City.

Doug is survived by a brother Dwayne Anderson of Albert Lee, Minnesota and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a very close friend, Betty Jean Koon.
