Frieda Schoeberlein 1923-2011

Frieda Schoeberlein, the daughter of William and Anna (Weirauch) Tasler, was born November 18, 1923 near Lohrville, Iowa and departed this life October 23, 2011 at Spartanburg, South Carolina. She lived her life to the age of 87 years, 11 months and 5 days.
Most of Frieda’s early years were spent growing up in the Churdan area. She graduated from Churdan High School in 1941. After graduating, she worked for the Rosedale Creamery in Fort Dodge.
On December 23, 1945, Frieda Tasler was united in marriage to Jack Russell Schoeberlein at the Methodist Church in Farnhamville. Two daughters were born to this union; Joann and Karen. They farmed all of their lives in the Jolley, Rinard and Farnhamville area. In 1953, they bought their first farm just outside of Rinard. Jack and Frieda moved to the Tasler farm southwest of Farnhamville in November of 1987. Jack & Frieda loved to dance at the Bohemian Hall and to travel throughout the U.S. as well as Europe. Jack passed away in 1995 and Frieda continued to live on the farm and help her son-in-law, Paul, with the farm work. Due to health problems, Frieda went to live with her daughter Karen in 2005.
Frieda was an active member of the Rinard Methodist Church and served as secretary/treasurer of the Ladies Aid. Frieda was very supportive of her family and loved flowers and birds.
Frieda is survived by her two daughters; Joann Snyder of Tempe, Arizona and her special friend, Clete Zeller and Karen Eilders and her husband, Paul, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, three grandchildren; Tom Snyder and his wife, Alisha, of Scottsdale, Arizona, Scott Snyder of Denver, Colorado and Matt Dingman and his wife, Nikki, of Earlham, Iowa and a sister, Marilyn Dillon of Sandpoint, Idaho. Those who preceded her in death were her parents, husband and a brother, Herman Tasler.
