Connie Sue Kavanaugh, the daughter of Lyle and Alice Mae (Kibbie) Gulbranson, was born June 13, 1953 at Storm Lake, Iowa and departed this life October 25, 2011 at Carroll, Iowa. She lived her life to the age of 58 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Connie attended grade school in Laurens until the 7th grade and moved to Lake City where she graduated from the Lake City High School in 1971.
On December 12, 1981, Constance Gulbranson was united in marriage to John Kavanaugh at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City. Three sons were born to this union; Joe, Andy and Evan. Connie and John lived in Lanesboro and then moved to Lohrville. Connie worked at Schleisman Chiropractor, Stewart Memorial Hospital, helped John at Pioneer Seed, Church Secretary, pool manager at Lake City, food service at the Lohrville School and helped at the Lohrville Library.
Connie was a member of St. Mary’s and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She liked crossword puzzles and loved being with her children and family.
Connie is survived by her husband, John, three sons; Joe and his wife, Jessica, of Holts Summit, Missouri, Andy and his wife, Lindsay, of Fort Dodge and Evan of Topeka, Kansas, one grandchild, brothers; Pat Gulbranson and his wife, Pam, of Marshalltown, John Gulbranson and his wife, Harriet, of Stuart, Bob Galbranson of Manson, Tom Gulbranson and his wife, Amy, of Clive, a sister, Julie Subbert and her husband, John, of Brighton, Colorado and mother-in-law, Bonnie Kavanaugh of Lohrville. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Joe Kavanaugh.z
