Services Today for Mrs. Will Kenning
Death Takes Former Manson Woman at Rockwell City Home
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Will Kenning this morning at St. Francis' Catholic church in Rockwell City. The Rev. Father Peter Sturm officiated. Burial was made in St. Thomas' cemetery in Manson beside her husband.
Mrs. Kenning was born Sept. 20, 1864, at Big Rock, Ill., the daughter of John and Margaret (Whalen) Masterson. She came to Iowa 45 years ago, settling on a farm northeast of Manson and later moving to Fort Dodge.

In June, 1916, she married Will Kenning of Manson, and they resided here and in California until his death in 1932. Since then she made her home in Fort Dodge until last September when she bought a home in Rockwell City.

Several weeks ago she suffered a fall at her home, which resulted in injuries requiring hospital care. She stayed in Mercy hospital, Fort Dodge, until last week, when she seemed sufficiently recovered to be taken home. Early July 4th she suffered a stroke, and her death occurred Monday night at 12:30 o'clock.

Mrs. Kenning is survived by one brother, James Masterson of Spencer, and four sisters, Mrs. Ella Lewis of Big Rock, Ill., Mrs. Julia Spillman of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Mary Cox of Letcher, S. Dak., and Mrs. Katherine Ferrand of Lake City, Iowa.
