Roy Pringle Passed Away

After a hard struggle lasting several months death and peace came to Roy Pringle at an early hour last Friday morning.

His peculiar disease had baffled the physicians even at Rochester where he was taken for examination but all to no purpose, and the only thing for several months has really been waiting for the final summons. It was one of those unaccountable causes which not only bore so heavily upon the victim but upon the family as well who have the deepest sympathy of the community.

Leroy Clayton Pringle was born on April 29, 1882, in Pleasant Grove township, Floyd county, Iowa and died at the age of 32 years, 8 months and 10 days, after a tedious and lingering illness of six months. All that skilled physicians, relatives, kind neighbors, and friends could do was done to relieve his suffering, and during that time no word of complaint ever escaped his lips. He was ever thoughtful of those around him, and exhibited unto the end his great devotion to his mother. He leaves to mourn his loss a mother, father, two sisters, and one brother, besides other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held a the home on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock where short services were conducted by Rev. Porter of the Methodist Episcopal church. The burial was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The pall bearers were: Curt Vennum, Tommy Montgomery, Wilbur Kuhn, Orrin Scott, Charles Stager and Grant Nettleton.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. R.W. Gould of Minneapolis, Mrs. Walter Klinck and Thomas Clank of Clarksville, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Willima Pringle of Germania and Robert Pringle of Buffalo Center.

The Recorder joins with the many in extending condolence to the sorrowing ones.
