PARKERSBURG - Ruth Kathryn Buseman, 79, of Parkersburg, died Thursday, Feb. 17, at Maple Manor in Aplington of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Ackley, daughter of Jacob T. and Kathryn Klahsen DeVries. She married Andrew D. Buseman Feb. 14, 1952, at Bethel Reformed Church in rural Aplington.

She was a homemaker and worked as a CMA and CNA for more than 30 years at Maple Manor in Aplington.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Marilyn (Keith Smith) Stickley of Cedar Falls; a son, Curtiss (Lisa) of Parkersburg; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Calvin DeVries of Des Moines and Edwin (Rose) DeVries of Greene.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Johnnie T. DeVries and Henry J. DeVries; a sister, Margaret (Harold) Miller; and two sisters-in-law, Nona DeVries and Evelyn DeVries.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bethel Reformed Church, rural Aplington, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg.

Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Bethel Reformed Church.
