Neil I. Stauffer, 91, of Clarksville, died Monday, Jan. 17, at Waverly Health Center, Waverly, from natural causes.

He was born Jan. 10, 1920, near Marble Rock, son of Albert and Elsie Delong Stauffer. On Jan. 15, 1949, she married Regina M. Ressler at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greene.

Mr. Stauffer graduated from Greene High School in 1937. He was a farmer, did custom farm work, raised cattle and horses, and did tree moving. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Shell Rock.

Survived by: his wife; three daughters, Mary Jo "Jody" (Tim) Hoodjer, Sue (Brad) Lodge and Cindy (John) Steere, all of Clarksville; two sons, James (Marie) and Paul, both of Clarksville; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Roger; and two sisters, Dorothy Sherman and Berniece Stauffer.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greene, with burial in Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville.

Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, Clarksville, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Clarksville Public Library or donor's choice.
