Elizabeth L. Johnson, 83, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., formerly of New Hartford, died Friday, Jan. 21, at Clare Bridge Memory Center in Highlands Ranch.

She was born April 2, 1927, in Fairbank, daughter of Thomas and Agnes Lamb Darby. She married Al Johnson May 5, 1947.

She graduated from high school in Parkersburg. The couple lost their home in Parkersburg in a tornado in 2008, and moved to Waterloo before moving to Colorado.

Survived by: her husband; two daughters, Shirley (Darrell) Walters of Pine, Colo., and Theresa Johnson of Littleton, Colo.; and a brother, Norman Card of Iowa Falls.

Preceded in death by: a son, Dewey.

Services: will be held at a later date. Her body was cremated per her request.

Redman Schwartz Funeral Home, Parkersburg, is in charge arrangements.
