Leonard Philip Pecha, 84, of Dumont, died Thursday, Jan. 27, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

He was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Goltry, Okla., son of Charles Vincent and Mary Frances Skoda Pecha. He married Mary Lutz Sept. 7, 1953, in Wichita, Kan.

He attended Goltry High School in Goltry, Okla. Mr. Pecha served in the U.S. Army as Corporal in Company F 38th Infantry Regiment. He was a screen printer at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita from 1950-60 when the family moved to Iowa. He worked for Hansell Elevator for 37 years, until retirement in 1998. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Dumont until it closed, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hampton.

Survived by: his wife; four sons, Richard (Terry) of Latimer, and Stanley (Denise), Dale (Verla) and Wayne (Janet), all of Dumont; two daughters, Beverly (Mike) Barber and Mary Elizabeth Pecha, all of Dumont; a sister, Eva Severin of Lahoma, Okla.; a brother, Edward of Goltry, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: three brothers and four sisters.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hampton, with burial in Dumont Cemetery.

Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Dumont, with a 5 p.m. rosary.

Leonard enjoyed playing cards, working in his vegetable garden, working on cars with his sons and fishing.
