APLINGTON - Marie Meyer, 91, of Aplington, formerly of Webster City, died Thursday, Nov. 18, at Maple Manor Village, Aplington.

She was born April 29, 1919, on the family farm north of Aplington, daughter of Roelf and Jetta Jurgena Meyer.

Ms. Meyer graduated from Aplington High School in 1936, then went on to attend Central College for a year. She was employed by the Aplington News, the State Savings Bank of Aplington, the registrar's office at the University of Dubuque for 15 years, and the Karr Law Office in Webster City from 1972 until she retired. She was a member of Community Church, Kamrar.

Survived by: many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: seven brothers, Albert, Henry, Frederick and Alfred Meyer, and three infants; and seven sisters, Bessie Biermann, Anna Meyer, Jennie Lauterbach, Wilhelmine Schnucker, Flora Mehmen, Margaret Klooster and an infant.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Reformed Church, Aplington. Public visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley.

Memorial fund: has been established.
