Kenneth "Ken" Naber, 93, of Cedar Falls and formerly from New Hartford, Iowa passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at the Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Ken was born on July 3, 1917, the son of Arend and Susie (Molendorp) Naber in Aplington, Iowa. He received his education from schools in Butler County. He served in the US Army from March 21, 1942 until his discharge on January 10, 1946 during W.W. II. On November 15, 1947, he was united in marriage to Betty Jane Morris in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Ken worked at John Deere Company for 36 years before his retirement from Deere's in 1977. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and hunting.

Survivors are his daughter, Carol (Russell) Powell of Appling, Georgia; two grandchildren; four great granddaughters; one great-great grandson; one sister, Marian Andreessen of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty on August 27, 1978; brother, LeRoy Naber and by three sisters, LaValle Fank, Dorothy Dichtel, and Gertrude Olsson.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery in New Hartford, Iowa.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock, Iowa and an hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock is in charge of arrangements.
