Nella Schwennen

DUMONT- Mrs. John G. (Nella) Schwennen, 74, died Wednesday evening at a Dumont nursing home. Funeral serices will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Dumont Reformed Church. Burial will be in Dumont Cemetery with Vogel Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Schwennen was born in Holland and married there in 1912. Mr. and Mrs. Schwennen came to this country in 1921. They farmed near Ackley and Dumont until moving to Dumont when they retired.

Surviving are her husband, John; four sons, Henry, Steamboat Rock, Jacob, Nashua; Elzon,Parkersburg; John Jr., Bristow; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Mattie) Junker, Nashua; Mrs. George (Hilda) Moore, Mason City; Mrs. Clarence (Anna) Schwab, Dumont; 25 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A son, Peter, was killed in action in World War II.
